Disclosing this on Twitter, a follower of him who is popularly known as Artist Adenike stormed to Tayo’s comment section to informed him concerning the argumentative essay he shared on instagram, that a curious child is a disobedient child in Nigeria.
“A curious child is a disobedient child in Nigeria, a child that questions a higher authority is disrespectful. It’s not just the educational system that’s the problem. Power dynamics at play in the child’s home is also a huge problem.
She added that everything is put in play to shut you up and to kill your curiosity. You are supposed to shut up and follow tradition, even if the tradition is flawed. Which is mostly the case. Makes absolutely no sense.”
